The title of this book is the perfect name to describe a surrendered life to Jesus Christ. "The River" illustrates being led and carried by the Holy Spirit on a life in which the Lord asks us for trust without filling in the details on the outcome. The author allows us to enter the authentic world of this fictional traveler's thoughts, doubts, and trust, on a journey accentuated by danger, risk, challenges of faith, and eventual victory. Each obstacle or challenge on the journey required a listening ear and an obedient heart. Yield, let go, trust ... are some of the words that rest in my heart after reading "The River." Those words will take all of us a long way, so thank you Betty Kulich, for this creative presentation.

I just finished reading your book and I was blown away! All I can say is Holy Spirit inspired!  I saw my life in this book and it made me think about complete trust in Him and wondering about the next chapter of my life and where He will take me. I am totally surrendered to Him and look forward to His promise to me that He will do a great work in my area and I will be a part of it! I am planning to read it again❤️. I'm reading your book trying to see how i can teach it. I'm really enjoying this. It kind of reminds me of Pilgrims Progress in the sense that it's a journey. 

I find i have to read a while and stop so i can digest everything. Its not something i can whiz thru since every word is important. I want to get to the end but find you need to think about it a while before moving on. 

God is really going to use this. But it’s not for spiritual sissies!!!!!! Lol

I have traveled with Melissa to the conclusion of her journey (and the beginning of a new one).  With highlighter in hand I have begun again, but have reached only page 30-something (taking every thought captive).  I believe I will be camped here for a while.  Thanks for the road map to help me on my way.

Loved reading The River. Could not hardly put it down before reading it all the way through.

Your book is amazing. How blessed we are for the revelation and clarity of the supernatural so beautifully presented to the reader. I can see and feel my rod and staff over my shoulder and the mantelpiece that gives such peace and courage. One read is not enough.  I’m re-reading with my daughters. The River calls me to digest all Jesus, Holy Spirt and God want me to share with others. The River is the best book I’ve read in a long time... it’s beautifully written and takes the reader on a supernatural adventure.. I loved it.
